Phone keeps offering same system update (clear data not helping)

Hi,

My phone keeps claiming I need to install a system update. After downloading, the update is stuck in "ready to install" state and there's no way to proceed.

If I go to settings->apps->software-update and clear data, the phone simply re-downloads the update and gets stuck in the same way with the same notification.

I tried setting a schedule to install while charging but the time set passes and nothing happens...

The version of the update is 23.5.A.1.291

The current build number on the phone is 23.5.A.0.575

Hi @akarypid,

That sounds strange, could you try updating using Xperia Companion? It is available for both PC and Mac. Once it is installed it'll present you with the option to install the latest available update given that you don't already have it installed.

I was forced to use the companion software to perform the upgrade via USB so the update was finally installed...
