Hi To All.

Its 1 month that i bought xperia z5 permium.

I Think i payed much money to a phone that have 1920x1080 in menu and settings.

Also i think 4K Display is lie because i tested video and picture quality on other viewer like Mx Player & Pic Viewer It was so bad cause it had low quality colors . colors was died like xperia z1 display.but while i played these with z5p's default video player and pic viewer it became so beautiful and good . colors was so high quality and high colored.and compare it with S7 edge display , z5p became winner ! but just in phone's default viewer !

why this phone much show menu and settings on 1080 resolation while sami or lg or huawei's middle phone like note 3 or lg g3 shows on 2k resolation ? i prefer you put a setting to turing on 2k or 4k display on settings and menu . but i think its imposible cause i think 4k display is lie on this phone and its a software trick with phone defualt viewer !

1. the screen it's 4K indeed BUT only while playing videos, and if you using a third party app it WON'T work

2. Having 4K at all time will heat up your phone faster and drain the battery, you can check the XDA forums for other methods to have this enable

3. you should use the search bar to find other threads on the same topic before creating a new post.

i did not find anyway to enabling 4K resolation on menu and settings .

The 4k panel can be activated all the time by loading a rooted kernel, but it's terrible. It looks great, but your battery will last only about 2 hours and your phone will be always hot.
Sony has designed the 4k to be used when you need it
I.e for images and video.
You don't need 4k for ui, and gaming would soon cook your hands.
You must also remember that 1080p on Xperia, is very similar quality to 1440p of Samsung oled devices due to the diamond pentile subpixel structure being far less intricate than the standard layout of lcd pixels

It doesn't need to be proved, it's a subject that doesn't belong on an official support channel as it involves warranty voiding.
As Uliwooly said, check XDA.

I dont get any difference in the videos and photos the quality goes wrong.waste of money
