A55 SLT - sudden failure

My A55 stopped working while taking a picture during holiday at Copenhagen ! Tried 2 other fully charged batteries and the reboot technique... Still dead
I packed few lenses and a tripod but no extra body:-)
Browsing the net there are reports of similar failures related the shutter related electronics. My camera is now 34 months old ... Bought from a sony store. I was wondering if this is a known issue and would be repaired as a gesture of goodwill.

Sorry to hear that your A55 SLT suddenly stopped working on holiday!

The best thing to do now would be to email or call Sony Support. They will be able to advise you of the next step to take.

Hope it can be repaired asap!
