could this be amended in future firmware updates to be customisable. not everyone wants to shoot 3:2. fuji reconise this. i'm guessing 16:9 is available for video. it would be great to be able to dial in an aspect ratio or frameguides like on professional digital film cameras. 1:1 square format is getting popular again. being able to shoot an xpan aspect (3:1) or 2.35:1 would also be good.

That's a good suggestion but I don't think it's that high on Sony's priority list...but they read these fora so who knows

i agree it would be a low priority but it'd also be very easy to implement. There's already a grid line overlay feature, it just needs custom aspect ratio and zoom options added to it. yes you can always crop in post but if you want to compose in any other format than 3:2 or 16:9 it's not exactly easy (or accurate) to imagine an alternative frame area.
