A7s ii & Ninja Assassin

Hi, after much searching I discovered that to get the Assassin to record standard 1080p25 footage from the A7s ii I need to set the HDMI resolution to 1080i and then use the pull-down functon on the Assassin to record at the right frame rate.

I'm now looking to record 4K on the Assassin & it seems I have 2 options :

Leave the camera in 1080i mode & then switch the 4K Output Sel. option to 'HDMI Only' in the briefcase menu
Change the camera to Auto in the HDMI resolution menu & then select XAVCS 4K in the File Format menu of the camera settings

Are both those methods equally valid or is one the ‘correct/better way of doing it ??

Can someone also confirm that currently it is not possible to record high frame rate footage (100fps on PAL) on the Assassin as the camera doesn't output this via HDMI.
