Hello, I have an NEX-6 camera. I just dropped it! fortunately it seems okay. However, the battery compartment door flipped open. It closes and works okay but now I am wondering if the little catch should be spring loaded. My one has a positive sliding action (open or closed). I never even thought about this before. Is the door catch supposed to be spring loaded? Thanks.

welcome to the Sony User Communiy Forum..

I am pretty sure that the battery door latch is NOT spring loaded & the catch is either locked or unlocked, so it looks like you might have been very lucky to have not damaged your Nex-6 when dropping it..
