G Master 24-70 2.8 DUST

Rear of 1 day old, June build, 24-70GM

All the dust you see is UNDER the glass. Tests shots taken at blue sky, covering all apertures. Even zoomed in 2:1 in lightroom could find no issues. So does not seem to be causing any problems.

Is this normal for zooms, or is this a lemon? All the photos are perfect so I'm thinking keep calm and carry on?

welcome to the Sony User Community Forum..

Personally I would not expect dust on the inside of a brand new premium GM lens & would be contacting the retailer to arrange an exchange but as you say the dust does not cause any problems then the choice would have to yours..
