I am not great with cameras but have been taking some good shots with my new camera. However suddenly the images when I am using the 55-210 lense are blurred. It seems to take an age to focus but then isn't at all crisp. I have made sure the lenses are clean,and reset the camera settings. With the 16-50 it seems fine.

i have been travelling with the family for a couple of months so it has seen daily use. I need urgent help as I am in some wonderful surroundings which I am trying to take photos of.

Hi drjcross and welcome.

It could be many things.

Is it the whole image or just the background?

Have you checked that the lens is recognised by the camera?

You could try gently cleaning the electrical contacts between the lens and the camera - I think there are about 10 contacts on the lens. If your 16-50 works OK the contacts on the camera are probably OK.
