A7R2 Shutter Dial/Thumb Dial Issue

If I set the camera to manual, I can change the aperture with the front (finger) dial but when I turn the rear (thumb) dial, it only changes shutter speed between two adjacent values.

If I customize the dial functions and reverse the dials, I can change the shutter speed with the front dial but only change two aperture values with the rear dial.

I suspected the dial was bad, but it actually changes values. Just two. I cannot scroll through the entire range.

This is basically the same issue as reported on the .com community, but we have the opposite dials failing. https://goo.gl/qIH5Hj

The short term fix has been to reassign the thumb wheel to replace the function of the thumb dial, but this far from ideal, especially on a camera that's only 6 months old and costs a fortune!

You should send the camera in for service.

Sounds like the dial is broken.
