NEX-5RK and iOS 10.12

Hi,
I have just recently got the NEX-5RK camera, but in order to be able to download any camera apps it is saying I need to update the software.
I have tried to do this but I dont think the download is compatible with ios 10.12, which unfortunately I already have on my laptop.

Does anyone know if there is any way round this? (would I be able to download on another computer?) or if not how long is it usually until there is a compatible version?

Can I just check what software is it asking you to update?

The current Playmemories is compatible with ios 10.12.
