a7r ll firmware update

Hi, I updated my Sony a7r ll last night and went to use it today on a photoshoot and my 85mm gm lense no longer works properly. The aperture rings open and close on there own, it won't focus and the camera is saying it doesn't recognise the lens. Is anyone else having similiar problems.

Hi there

I dont know much (or anything) about camera's so I can only really point you to the manual. According to HERE, it says:

Cannot recognize lens. Attach it properly.

The lens is not attached properly, or the lens is not attached. If the message appears when a lens is attached, reattach the lens. If the message appears frequently, check whether the contacts of the lens and product are clean or not.
When attaching the product to an astronomical telescope or something similar, set [Release w/o Lens] to [Enable].
