Hi,

I have been a satisfied owner of an a6000 camera for a year...

But today during a walk, after having taken few shots aready and switching the camera back on, I got out of nowehere this error message: "cannot recognize the lens, please attach it properly".

I have tried to clean the terminal several times without any success. Of course by warranty has finished 2 weeks ago...

Would anyone have any tips, since it seems to be a recurrent issue with sony from my google searches ?

Hi @mari_7,

a fix would be to activate the 'release shutter without lens attached' function, normally used for third party lenses or to see the inner mechanism working.

There is a video on youtube by 'technologymafia', the guy reports that his A6000 was dropped, then developed the same issue. He switched the camera off and left it for a few hours. when he switched it back on, the problem had gone away...will find link...might be worth a try..? Here you go...
