Problem with Sony RX10 and flashing camera shake symbol

So deeply frustrating. Was happily taking studio type portraits last night and suddenly images started to come out blurry taking ages to process - no change to any settings made. I eventually found the flashing symbols. Turned the camera shake off as suggested in the camera book as not needed with tripod and flashing exclamation mark “ camera shake warming” still there and wouldn’t stop. Had to abandon shoot. This morning in full daylight the shake symbol still on though pictures I can take aren’t out of focus or take an age to process. On the US Sony site I saw a thread but didn’t seem to resolve it

You may have done so already,

but have you tried a reset on the camera?

(Either by removing the battery for a minute and then restarting, or using the reset

function in the settings menu.)

Hi @susipet,

try the following:

Switch the camera on, extend the lens as faras possible and take out the battery.

Now slightly tap the extended lens a few times before putting the battery back in.
