A7RIII/A7R3 EVF "lag" on 4K video?

Is it normal for the A7Riii/A7R3 EVF to have a lag when shooting 4K video? It feels almost like its not able to refresh or render fast enough and the stuttering of image while shooting is only in 4K mode, non of the other HD video modes. It does not reflect as rolling shutter in final output and is not a problem on the back screen - only in the EVF. Camera less than 3 months old. Any feedback, ideas please? Many thanks
