Sony 90mm 2.8 Macro

I bought a Sony 90mm 2.8 macro lens a little over 2.5 years ago. It was a fantastic lens and was treated with the utmost care. Recently it just stopped focusing altogether. Neither manual nor AF would work, similar to this video clip attached. I paid over 1100 euro for the lens and Sony wanted over 900 euro to repair it. I am at a loss for words, this is upsetting beyond belief.

Hey padreid8, so you already contacted Sony and done all the steps and advised a repair?

Yes, I brought it to Bermingham's Camera Shop in Dublin who then sent it to Sony UK for repair. The whole thing does not make sense. The lens was almost totally used indoors and was treated with the utmost care. I am annoyed, upset and deeply disappointed.
