DSC-W800 won't select language

I have a brand new Cybershot and I can't select the language (ie screen won't 'select' when I trouch it) in the initual set-up. It is fully charged and I've pressed the reset button. I can't select any country actually.

Any ideas or is a fault?

I have just received my camera, bought on line. I cannot set the language. English is on the screen and OK, but touching it does nothing.

I have seen the reply here about going to Settings, but pressing Menu does nothing either.

I somehow got hold of an on line chat, and was given the link to Settings, but when it did nothing I could not return to the chat!

Can anyone offer any help please? I am not very techie but can usually follow instructions!
