Older Bravia Firmware

Hi, I have a Bravia KDL 40L4000 circa 2008. I have connected a Cambridge TV2 sounbar to this using rca cables but the sound works ok at louder levels but drops out at lower levels. I have heard that this is a known issue with older Bravia TVs. Is there a firmware update to resolve this and if so how do I do this? Thanks

Hi there

I was just about to suggest that you use an optical cable, but then i saw in the manual that your model tv doesnt have this. There are no firmware updates posted on the support site either - however my advice is to contact Sony themselves to see if they have a fix for your problem.
