KDL-40HX853 Problems with black lines appearing on the screen

Purchased this KDL-40HX853 in 2013, in last month black lines have appeared across the lower part of the screen, they are very obvious during scenes with white or very bright background. It's as if the LEDs or pixels have missing from the picture. Have tested with Blu Ray source and problem is still apparent.

After just over 3 years would not expect a £1000 plus TV screen to failing so soon so hope someone can advise on a solution please?
