Sony Bravia TV no picture

Hi. My neighbour cannot get a picture but has sound. All cables disconnected, tried a different HDMI connection, switched off at the mains, new batteries put in remote etc. Any other suggestions? Only 4 years old but no warranty. Thank you

Tell him:

Point the remote at the screen, and hold down the On button on it for over 5 seconds. The set should reboot; might bring the picture back.

If not, the next step is a Factory Reset, which in the absence of a picture can probably be done by holding down a combination of the physical buttons on the back of the set.

But to specify this exactly, if this doesn’t work and he can’t figure it out from the documentation that came with the set, we would need the model number.

Thank you, I helped her to do this but sadly it didn't work so we've called out an engineer who is coming today to hopefully fix it. 🤞
