Cannot disable e-pop up banner

Hi, just wondering if you can help me with this deeply frustrating issue . Model of my tv is KDL-43WG663.

I’ve tried everything! I hate this tv and have only had it 1 day.

please help a frustrated person.

Hi @Brewsu

Where did you get a 5 year old model TV only 1 day ago?

The Info Banner pops up whenever the audio format changes. Look for Info Banner in the settings. The chances are you will not find it on such an old TV.

A work a round, but lowers your audio enjoyment, is to change the input audio format to PCM or Normal so no change of audio format is detected.

Hi, I bought it from an online store … new, not used but an older model. Maybe a store demo?

So the suspicion is, it is in Shop mode? The solution is probably shown on that 12 year old thread, that you posted on. Factory reset and choose Home.

Thanks for replying … I’ve sorted it! It was in shop mode … I did a factory reset 🙌
