Problems with my STR-DN860

Just purchased a used STR-DN860 and im tying to get it setup correctly. But I can’t get anything from the receiver to show on my tv. I’m confident I have it hooked up correctly but nothing shows on the tv when I hit the home button on the remote. I can do a few setting changes through the receivers display but that’s it.

Is it possible that the receiver has no operating system to view on my tv?

I keep hoping I have a connection not right to the tv and that’s what’s causing it, but I’m running out of ideas.

And I don’t see anything that references this in the help guide.

I have had my hdmi ARC from the back of the receiver connected to the ARC hdmi in the tv.

I may try another HDMI connection from the radio. My bro has the same model radio and his output from his receiver to tv is the DVD hdmi

Trying a new cable would be great! Also, try connecting the HDMI device directly to the TV instead of the receiver.
