BDP-S4500 Eject key is unavailable

I have tried all the methods I have found online to resolve this but nothing seems to work, admittedly the solutions don't refer to this specific model so hoping someone has a solution.

Hello @Tyrion_reaper,

did you try the following:

Unplug power
Press and hold the eject button then plug in power and hold the button until the disc ejects (maybe get a second person to help you).
Take out the disc and leave the disc tray open.
Unplug the power, leave the player without power for a few minutes.
Replug power.

Hi,

Yes I have tried that but the disc doesn't eject, the player goes on to play the disc that is in there
