Pure Direct - Sony STR-DN1080 & Sony Bravia TV (Having to Select Pure Direct Manually)

Hi all,

I listen to Amazon Music through the Bravia TV Amazon app.

There doesn't appear to be a way to select Pure Direct without having to manually press the button on the amp itself.

When you select Pure Direct in the Home menu it deselects itself when you enter the Amazon Music app.

Surely there must be a simple way of selecting it through the remote with a simple one-key press?

If not, a software workaround may solve this?

This looks more like a compatibility issues between the app and the STR, do you have the app downloaded on the TV directly? Or, through another external device?

The app is purely on the Sony TV.

Surely, it must be down to a software fix to assign a button on the remote to select the 'Pure Direct' function.

Hi SonyBraviaUK, the remote has to be pre-reigstered in the factory to have a functionality, other than this, there's no software that can adjust it I guess.

But you may consider contacting Sony to add this as feedback.
