Control Sonos Beam 2

I have an xr55-a90j and would like a cheapish soundbar. I know Bravia sync will control Sony Soundbars but I'm looking at Sonos Beam 2. Assuming correct connection hdmi3 eArc would the TV remote control the soundbar I.e. switching it on/off and volume?

I have bought a SONOS Beam 2Gen and will get it over the weekend.

I am 99.9% sure this will work but I will contact you when I have set it up.

Thanks @dublinrover I did go ahead and buy one and have connected it to my TV.

I'm still getting myself up to speed but the Sony does recognise the Sonos and control the volume with the remote, but it doesn't switch off when I power the TV off - that might be by design which is a pity

Also for some reason the volume is always at zero when I switch the TV back on - increase volume on the remote and it comes up but again a little annoying
