My home cinema system is no longer playing any sound through the television. I have checked all connections, run a test tone and everything is ok. Any ideas?

I should have stated that I previously had sound (until about a week ago). Ihave sound through the Ipod dock and when a DVD is playing. The cinema system is connected to a Panasonic TV.

I have swapped the HDMI cables around to see if there was a faulty cable.

I am completely confused as to why my sound through Sky has just suddenly disappeared.

Hi there

Considering that it was working up to a week ago and you have swapped around HDMI cables (im assuming your TV is capable of HDMI ARC functions?)

Is there any settings on the TV that have changed (ie setting tv speaker to audio system or whatever its called).

Im also assuming that you are selecting "TV" from the function button as the input source?

On the E490 - Ensure that "Control for HDMI" is set to ON and that "Audio Return Channel" is set to AUTO

On the TV - Ensure that Viera Link (HDMI CEC functions) is ON as well
