I am hoping for a little help regarding HDMI cables.
I have Googled this and the information is huge! I wonder if anyone else has the perfect setup.
I have a new Sony Bravia TV with eArc etc (it's very posh) and have a PS5, DVD/Blu-ray player and a surround sound system.
This is how I've set things up:
One HDMI into the Arc of the surround sound system into the eArc of the TV.
One HDMI into the PS5 into the TV.
One HDMI into the DVD/Blu-ray player into the TV.
Everything works beautifully. However I have read that I should potentially upgrade my HDMI cables to 2.1 Cat 3. Which is fine, but was wondering what configuration I should setup.
I have been informed that the PS5 HDMI cable is already 2.1 Cat 3 but I'm not totally sure.
Would I need to upgrade all my HDMI cables to Cat 3 or just the Arc to eArc or just the PS5 or both?
I hope I am making sense and any help or advice would be appreciated.
