kd49x8309c problems - help

My TV rebooted itself on Christmas day, following days of it switching itself on and off, and now we get the Sony screen and the coloured dots and then it freezes switches itself off and then the Sony logo comes back on with the coloured dots and then freezes - wont even get to the Android logo - anyone else had this problem?  Have been in touch with Customer Support - had a reply telling me to switch on and off which I have done - emailed them back and not heard anything!

Can you please try doing a 'Forced Factory Reset' using the following instructions:

Please let us know how it goes, as this is not the first time I have seem/heard of this problem, but these instructions are newly released - I believe it should work however.

No doesnt work - have been on with Sony and they are going to get a repair company to come out - but they wont come out until I have a copy of my extended warranty which hasnt been sent to me - so now have to wait 2 more days!!!
