I have tried calling for three months. mailed the phone in and nothing. The phone crashed during the last update and they have no way to repair the phone that they crashed.
custmer service basically tells you the the phone came to market in Aug 2016 and I bought it Nov 2016 and therefore the warranty dates from the day the first phone was ever sold. and then they repeat over and over again they won' help.
My suggestion is :
1. not use Sony customer service.
2. buy a apple phone.
3. so My is a phone made to use in a third world

If say true i did not understand everything what you wrote. Can you write little more about service, yours problems and ect.
1. What do you mean "calling" and "mailed"? Do you mean you tried to contact with Sony Support via internet (In Sony Mobile web site) and yours all tries was unlucky? You couldn't to get any help? Agent did not answered in yours calls, mails? Or you delivered yours smartphone to authorized service and this service did not helped you?
2. What do you mean "crashed" after update? Do you mean yours smartphone workign something bad, you can't use it, it's somehow broken? Can you write more about yours problem?
3. What do you mean "they"? Do you mean authorized service in yours location or Sony Support in internet web site?
4. What do you mean about warranty? If you bought it in 2016 November, warranty usually is two years (depends market offcours, but as i know it's most in many market, maybe i'm wrong), so must valid into 2018 November. But i'm not sure, as i siad it depends market.
5. What do you mean they won't help, are they siad for you reason why they don't want to help you?
