Xperia C4 update failed

I tried with companion . it downloaded the update and I started the process. the phone turned off by itself and it said the phone can not restart. the update failed so the process stopped on the program.  so I unplugged the phone to turn it on. it is frozen on the first screen, it says 'sony xperia' only, nothing else happens...

I plugged and unplugged to charger and pc. it tries to open wiith pc but it freezes eventually.

Run XC on your computer > charge the phone (with a wall charger for an hour) > do not turn it on > follow the steps to repair the phone with XC

The problem is, XC doesn't see the phone when it is connected to the PC. Otherwise I'd do that in a heartbeat. Thank you for the concern though.

Well, I've meddled with XC more and Ive found a way! Apparently XC thought of this problem so software repair tool has an option for this. You start software repair tool and it guides you. You turn the phone off. You wait for 5 seconds. Then you push volume button for 5 seconds and connect it to the pc, then the process goes on with a few more steps then boom! It starts repairing... Therefore I'm writing this from the phone. XC exceeded my expectation in a manner of speaking.
