Dsc-hx100v remote control

A lot of articles make the point that there is no possibility of remote control on dsc-hx100v. Would this not be possible using the control part of the HDMI interface (Bravia Sync)(CEC). It may need a firmware upgrade but would have thought it could be possible.

Bravia HDMI control is not really my department, but I suspect that might be possible. Have a look at this: http://esupport.sony.com/docs/dvimag/DSCHX100V_guide/eng/contents/08/03/09/09.html – hope it's of some help.
