Hello conkelly54 - Welcome to the Sony Forums

With the HX10V camera, you are able to select a shutter speed of up to 30 seconds. This is controlled in the Manual Exposure Shooting menu on the camera and there are full instructions on the following page from the online user guide:

http://pdf.crse.com/manuals/4412220111/ENG/contents/02/03/07/07.html

As long as 'M' is selected on the mode dial, you will be able to press the 'dot' button on the control wheel and then rotate it to choose between 1/1600 of a second and 30 seconds.

Thanks,

Simon

Hi conkelly, welcome to the Sony Forums

You don't need to access any menus really, just set the mode dial to M (manual) and select your shutter speed (up to 30s) using the control wheel.

Cheers

Mick
