Greatly reduced WiFi speed with Bluetooth headset

I have recently discovered that my wifi speed is reduced
by 50% or more when connected with a Plantronics M25 bluetooth headset.

Firmware issue?

Running firmware 25.0.A.2.14
on a Xperia E4G (E2003).

Did find a solution.

If i click the tool icon on the right hand side of my paired devices (go to Settings/Bluetooth), you will have the option of activate (tick);

Phone Audio
Media Audio

When only "Media Audio" box is ticked I will
see WiFi speed drop around 50%.

If both boxes are ticked or only "Phone Audio",
WiFi works at 100%.

There seems to be an issue with WiFi speed being reduced to 50% when soly connecting to "Media Audio" through a Bluetooth device.

This is not a problem when connecting with a Bluetooth hesdset since they usually have both "Phone audio" & "Media Audio" profiles and the wifi through put issue will not arise as long as you're note soly connected with "Media Audio".

This afternoon I connected to my BOSE mobile Bluetooth Speaker and since this device only have "Media Audio" as Bluetooth profile I can not go around the WiFi through put issue. When connected to this device I get around 7-10 Mbit through put on WiFi and when disconnecting Bluetooth I get 35-40 Mbit.

Obviously there seems to be some problems how this firmware (25.0.A.2.14/Xperia E4g -E2003) handles "Media Audio" Bluetooth profile.
