Phone keeps restarting

Hi my Sony l1 has started to restart itself at random times.

Hi @Pt6 , sorry to hear about this.

Did this behaviour start to happen recently or has it occured for a long time, Alsoe does the restarts happen at any specific kind of use or does it happen randomly?

A good thing to try is to reboot the phone in Safe mode. All apps downloaded from Play Store is temporarily deactivate while in safe mode and by doing this, you can see if this behaviour is caused by a downloaded app. For more information on safe mode and how to use it, click here.

Hi it has been happening for a few days. Mostly when phone is in my pocket so I don't know when it has happened. I have put it into safe mode and it is still doing it. Thanks for your reply hope you can help.

In that case it might be a downloaded app that has been updated in the last couple of days. Try Safe mode for a while and let me know how it goes.

Hi as I stated in my last reply I have tried it in safe mode and it is still happening.

I am sorry @Pt6, I seem to have read your post too quickly.

In that case I suggest that you try to repair the software on the phone using a computer and Xperia Companion. Keep in mind that a software repair will erase all user data from the phone, so it is advised to do a backup of your user data before proceeding with the repair.

Hi just to let you know the phone has now switched off and will not come back .I am sending it back to virgin for repair thanks for your help.
