Yes.. you'd have it cos it protects the phone from malicious apps

This is a debatable topic, my suggestion is not to install an antivirus as it will slow down your phone and drain your battery faster, but if you don't install an antivirus  you should only download from the playstore, double check the app permissions and stay away from dubious emails and/or websites

Is it safe to browse websites using chrome or any web browser without virus guard?

I have Mcafee Mobile Security pre-installed in my phone..its has great  theft recovery options compared to Sony My xperia & Android device manager specially CaptureCam & Track SIM options

I do not use antivirus,I browse websites and no problems on my P.But it is your choice.
