Keyboard update 5.6.D.1.28 not downloading

Yes this update is from last year....I hadn't even noticed it, I happened to look at the update centre and the keyboard one was on there but it won't actually download, it's just at 0% all the time. I hadn't bothered doing anything about it until recently as my phone, particularly the keyboard, has started to run quite slowly. Even with Wi-Fi on it won't work, and I've tried resetting the phone settings to see if that makes any difference (no). Why is the download not working?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Try to clear data for Update Center under settings > apps > all > Update Center > clear data. You can also clear data for download manager that you'll find under the same menu as above.
