Now that you've already 'created' and released the android 4.2.2 upgrade for the Xperia z and zl, it's not difficult to release it for the Xperia T!!
Please be quick!!!Sony phones are awesome but The updates are so slow and we all hate slow updates. Stop wasting time making phones like xperia e, m or l.
WE WANT ANDROID 4.2.2 TO BE RELEASED FOR THE T RAPIDLY,THAT IS,BEFORE THE END OF JULY.

Even for Galaxy Nexus i got update within 48 hrs after the latest version was released.
Yeah well if I had another £500 to spend on another mobile, and I wanted to go through the hassle of paying to cancel my contract early and possibly transferring my number cross-network, then I would do that. And if I had another £500 and even more patience, then I'd see how a Galaxy felt. Unfortunately I live in the real world and neither of those are an option. I have an Xperia T and I want it upgraded to the latest stable Android version; Sony have deployed it for the Z easily enough, and have given absolutely no reason why they've not upgraded the T. We all know for a fact that the T's hardware exceeds the requirements for 4.2/4.3.
Sony: We know the official word is that "You don't have any official news"... so, how about giving us an official reason why you have not pushed out an Android update for the Xperia T? Can you think of a good excuse? We're listening.
I've just started telling my friends not to buy Sony phones. The same with HTC phones. Just go with a Nexus.
I can't believe my 6 months old Xperia T will not get a 4.3 update, not even a 4.2.2.
Come on Sony, do some homework.
September Android article, inc. stats
In particular, can I highlight this?
That's especially problematic given that later Android releases include security fixes as well as new features. According to security research outfit Kaspersky Lab, only Android 4.3 is impervious to the Backdoor.AndroidOS.Obad.a Trojan, yet virtually no one is running that version.
Is a major security vulnerability enough to make Sony sit up and take notice? We certainly wouldn't want loads of Sony users to panic because the fact is that Sony refuses to address citical security vulnerabilities in a phone which supports features like NFC, which in turn encourages them to store bank details on it, would we?
The article also mentions that Android 4.4 (KitKat) has already been announced, so will likely be released by the time Xperia T users get an upgrade to 4.2/4.3.
I made already the upgrade to Android: Google Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) Version: 9.1.A.1.141 and is so terrible, it make my WIFI connect/disconnect with out reason, somebody has the same problem?, somebody now if the put less power on the receptor of the wifi, what could make this problem.
Thank you for your help!
Bumping this thread, as most of us consider it to be the most important. It encompasses the issues with the camera, Walkman, and everything else too, i.e. new firmware usually means new Sony software as well as a new Android version (unfortunately, more often than not ONLY the former, not the latter).
I wouldn't want Sony to forget that we all want an upgrade for the T. I don't believe we've ever had one - the ICS>JB "upgrade" gave us a universally disliked white contacts menu and horrendous battery life. The camera app has more features but they don't improve anything at all.
How much money did you make with the T, solely from tagging along with Skyfall, like a cinema sells more popcorn and own-brand coca-cola with a new film? I hope you realise what you've done to the Sony name.
Dear people at Sony,
I have two questions:
1. Why doesn't anybody at Sony have te decency to answer al the posts at this forum?
2. When can we exect an upgrade on our XPeria T, a phone for which the most of the people here paid a lot of money on a moment that Sony wasn't on the top of the market. In other words, these people put their faith (and money) in Son y and now see themselves confronted with a customer service that doesn't even response to their questions!
At this moment i've bought three xperia phones for myself, wife and son (arc, T and L) please don't dissappoint me with ignoring the questions on this forum. If this is the way you're treating customers than you won't be having a lot of them in the future....
With regards,
A customer from the Netherland.
The last update has been a disaster for my Xperia T, I'm not sure I'd trust another major update. After the way the Xperia T was promoted as the top phone and then dropped almost instantly I don't think I would trust Sony again. I'd probably get a Nexus next time.
hi, i want to know why sony - xperia don't want customer to upgrade their phone with higher operating sistem like android 4.2.2 or 4.3 (now available) ? my phone also only can upgrade to android 4.1.2
