I updated gmail in xperia sp and the phone keeps on rebooting, i cant turn it off completely. it continued till it drains my 80% remaining battery and now the phone is kinda dead. faced this problem for the first time in any of my sony smartphones, very disppointing :(. any help would be much appreciated!
UPDATE: I have found the quickest way to fix this. I have a Sony Xperia SP and this should work on other Xperia phones. I have 'Settings' as a shortcut on the drop down menu. I quickly pressed it, quickly scrolled down and pressed 'Gmail' under accounts, and then I quickly selected my gmail account. Then I pressed the button on the top right corner it looks like 3 downword lines) and pressed remove gmail account. As soon as I done this the phone stopped restarting! I solved this 30 minutes after I posted my first response. Hope this helps someone. Cheers.
The same problem, the Xperia SP reboots after gmail update, even without sim and sd card. There is no way to use any software, because the phone is working for 10 sek before next reboot
