Too often I lose audio visual with the error message below appearing on a blank screen that affects all channels and switching on/off - re-powering and checking all connections achieves nothing. Why and how picture and sound resumes is unknown - outage can be for 5 - 60 minutes. The photo here shows the guide while the message apears and you can see the current channel Bloomberg News is black at top right. Yet the Humax receiver it is attached to does record the full programme playing on BBC 2. The message has no correlation with recording schedules.
Any idea what is going on here? I presume the message is a SONY one but does not appear in any troubleshooting manuals or guides.

This is not a standard Sony error message. As you also have a Humax Freesat box connected, this error message is related to that.

Thanks Quinicus - that MyHumax.org thread was helpful. Sounds like the engineer coming at 8am tomorrow will have some work to do on this communal service.
