KDL 37W5500 and DLNA

I find that the TV can play both sound and photos but it cant play video files from my DLNA server - its this particular to the TV or is it a generic problem??

the DLNA server most be choose to the play any video files....the laptop when i installed i choosed pictures and video files all... and on the TV Menu i choosed what i want too see... My TV is KDL-32V5500.
