Hi, my tablet which I purchased last week possibly has a battery problem which I'll try to explain. I have read on all the forums these tablet's have exceptional battery life but mine seems to be a bit iffy, I fully charged it last night and within four minutes it dropped to 99% and this is with the brightness cranked right down to neatly minimum and everything bar WiFi off but not in stamina mode just browsing the web snd after watching one video on YouTube that lasted 4 minutes and a bit more web surfing after 46 minutes it had dropped to 94%, it's running the newest Android marshmallow update and I'm wondering if this seems excessive and would appreciate some feedback especially bearing in mind its not really had anything installed on it yet. Thanks for any help.
Youtube request a lot of resources of battery, so it's normal that battery draining little faster even if you using wifi, 4G, 3G connection
About dropping to 99% from 100%, most battery doing that even after charge, i can't remember explain of that, but it's normal how i know, that's not battery issues
How i understand you watched about 4 minutes youtube and a little bit of used internet and after about 1 hour dropped from 99 to 94%? My opinion your battery is not bad as you trying to say, coz as i siad internet, even youtube and any other video platform request much more battery resources than calling, sms writing and ect (all apps which working with internet draining battery faster), so it's not so much only 5%, also in standby mode battery draining too, but of course not so much as youtube
By the way you can always check in you Sony Tablet which apps request most battery resources, you need just go to settings - energy management - about battery
Features which useing a lot of battery resources are:
1. Gps, bluetooth or other connection feature
2. Videos (even internet)
3. Internet (wifi, 4G/3G, Gprs or Edge)
4. Games (even if you playing with internet)
5. Screen brigthness even if is on maximum
6. "Live" themes and ect.
Check is all these features is turning off

Just one more thing I noticed when it got to 15% the other day the battery percentage started dropping even quicker. Just wondered if this was normal?
I've had heard that last 15% battery draining faster, but it's normal or not and it's true or not i can't say, i don't know. But one just thing... Don't wait untill battery will drain into less 15%. How i know battery better is charge between 20 - 90% for best performance of it
I can confirm that location/GPS, Bluetooth were all off and no other apps were running other than Chrome and YouTube the brightness was nearly to minimum no adaptive brightness was enabled but it wasn't in stamina mode. I am just a bit worried as I thought it would hold up a bit longer after 46 minutes and not lose 6% quite so fast maybe two or three possibly four at the most so I don't know whether to return it.

As i wrote internet is one of the most request battery's life feature, it's normal that when u using internet (youtube, chrome) battery draining faster, neither in stand by mode or without internet. Try to turn off internet and to check about hours - two how much % will be drained of battery. 5% is not so much as you think after used of browser and youtube And again try to check which apps using battery's life most, as i wrote By the way don't forget that internet if is turned on working in background and it doesn't matter that you left smartphone on table. So you think you watched 4 minutes of youtube and that's all? If u did not turned off internet in background internet still working, u must after used if you want to safe battery life always to turn off it. Also if i understand you right you don't using Stamina? So Stamina is not turning off in standby internet and ect while you leaving smartphone after work with it
For example in my smartphone is turned on (always): gps, internet (working in backgroud), i have Kaspersky Internet Security (which blocking Stamina, so no safe for battery), i have about 20 apps which need always internet connection (it's about 20) and many more, so when i going to sleep and after almost 8-10 hours of sleep i finding about 20 - 30 % less. It's normal that internet "killing" your battery so fast. If you want to safe battery life turn off first internet, after that all others features
In C5 Ultra Dual is Ultra Stamina, which turning off all features, leaving just alarms, sms/calls and ect. So if you have this Stamina mode try it
Thanks for your help
