How to use skype on a XperiaTablet Z

My parents just brought a XperiaTablet Z and they seem to be having an issue with using skype, they say that every time they click on the skype application it sends them to the app store. Any help would be appreciated.

When they are on Skype’s page on app store, in the upper right position of the screen, writes  “SKYPE” and then the possible options like “Install” “Update” “Open” etc.
