No mobile data connection after update to Android 8

Dear forum, 2 days ago i updated my one-week old Xperia X to android 8. The first attempt lead to a boot loop, with the PC companion I was able to repair this and finally install the update succesfully. However: Now my phone doesnt get a mobile data connection anymore. I can make phone calls and have signal, however, the H, 3G or 4G symbol doesnt appear anymore and there is no connection to the web. I tried the SIM-card in another phone, no problems. WiFi is working fine.

Step by step

First goto settings and find reset network settings.

This includes WiFi and Bluetooth

Now your mobile network settings will be reset automatically.

If that does not help them goto the site of your provider and find the correct APN settings for Xperia X

Again reset network settings, then goto network & internet, mobile network, access point names (APN) tap the + and fill the fields with the correct values.

Dave it, choose this setup as default and try again.

BTW did you set mobile data to ON? If not, do so or else mobile network does not load data and you only can call and SMS
