Random pausing during playback

My Xperia X Compact has recently started randomly pausing during playback. This happens on audio or video, downloaded to the device or streaming, on all platforms, on WiFi or mobile, with or without headphones or Bluetooth. Sometimes I can watch/listen for an hour or more without problems, other times it pauses itself every 30s or more. Any ideas?

Maybe there are many apps working in the background that consume processing power.

Try to find consuming apps in settings and check.

Does it happen in safe mode too when you're using the music app?
