Hi,
I've got an xperia x and when I plug it in the LED lights up and it shows on screen that it's charging.
After some time the LED won't be on and I'll check and my phone has stopped charging.
I'll then have to disconnect the USB and reconnect it to start it charging again.
I'm using a Sony charger plugged into a wall socket. I have another Sony charger I have tried and it won't charge at all with it or most other chargers I try.
Please help! It takes forever to get a full charge due to this.
Hi @Parrisian13, let me see if I can help out here.
Have you been able to try charging the phone while in safe mode? Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode where all apps downloaded from Play Store is temporarily deactivated and by doing this, you can see whether this behaviour is caused by a downloaded app or not. For more information on safe mode and how to use it, click here.
Also, make sure that you are using an original Sony charger and USB cable specifically intended for charging your device. Other chargers may be too weak or too strong as they may have a different electric current rating (mA). Another good thing to do is to ensure that the USB port is completely dry, and gently remove any lint or dust using, for example, a wooden or plastic toothpick.
Try these measures and let me know how it goes!
i had the same issue all i did was got a replacement for the charging brick (adapter) and now it works fine
As @Nikhilj mentioned, it is also a good idea to try another socket or another cable to see if it is the cable/socket that is malfunctioning.
