wifi has disconnected automatically and its not giving me a chance

folks,

after over two years of happines with my X Compact, wifi is just giving me a headacke. It happens that it has gone off and it doesnt even show me networks available. It started a few months ago turning itself off once in a while, but now it has just gone off and when I try to turn it on it goes back off. I have reset everything, research the internet, etc, and here I am, no wifi, and no idea what else to do.

Any guessings?

I have done all tests and everything is ok, including the APN settings.

Mobile data is on.

Wifi keeps swithching off right after I tried to turn it on

So if you goto settings->network and internet and you switch the switch alongside WiFi to on it switches off as if by magic?

Only at home or everywhere.

Do you have an auto network switch in settings?

Automatically switch to a prefered network when both the WiFi network and mobile network are available.

So,

Sony suggested me to send the phone to SBE Global Electronic Service & Logistics Management to try to fix it.

The phone has a "Data Application - no WLAN connection" issue that can not be repaired as stated by

SBE.

Everything else works fine, but no WLAN (wifi) connection.

Do you guys know if any body else can fix this?
