Ever since the lastest update my phone had been acting weird.
-fingerprint sensor was slower but more accurate
-random apps would start up without my conscent and quit unexpectedly (waze did this a lot and earned a free uninstallment)
-AAAAND the cherry on top: my phone literally stopped allowing me in, right now all i can do with my phone is receive calls.
Whenever i put up my pin the screen goes all black and back to lock screen, the fingerprint sensor also stopped working and whenever i try to access other feats via the locked screen, it requests my pin, and after i put it this message displays "Unfortunately, UI stopped working"... this happened randomly, i was at a party and the phone randomly started doing this
i've tried:
-soft reset via the button on the sim compartment, vibrates 3 times, turns off, doesnt turn back on (doesnt even reset anything)
-hard resets trying to turn it on with both power button and volume keys, same result as above
-sony bridge for mac. no factory reset option... really? mac computer users cant factory reset their phones?
-went to a friend's to download the emma flashtool, registered twice, thing never emailed me
-hacked emma and went in, was not able to do much inside emma, it stated that my phone was locked and that i should request an unlock via email (didnt get this mail confirmation either)
-emailed sony support... taking ages to respond
havent tried:
-locking it through myxperia... why would i do this?
-deleting it through my xperia... this myxperia thing is an anti theft software mainly which means the delete could probably delete everything from the phone leaving it crippled, thing doesnt explain at all what are the consequences of deleting my phone (i would love a factory reset but i would hate a useless phone)
I've owned 3 xperia phones for the past 3-4 years and im seriously considering on trying out something else, my previous z3 broke when i barely submerged it in water ("waterproof") and now my z5 giving me a hard time (im not even taking risks on submerging this one BTW, the z3 thing dissapointed me big time). Plus i remember a while back on my z3 that a system update screwed up the phone a bit aswel... updates should improve the phone, not make it worse
I literally dont know what else to do, if anyone takes their time to reply i would greatly appreciate it to mail me at (i will follow this post, but i trust more my email than a forum that i just registered into)
