z3 - help topics language ??

Something has happened in the last day or so and now whenever i choose the help topic under the 3 dots the language is swedish instead of english ?

everything else is ok,menus, keyboard etc all english as before.. what's happened ??

You can a basic backup(transfer) of photos,videos and music files to SD card, to free up internal memory
Look under storage in settings
Backup saves a data file of all of the above and more like Bookmarks
System settings
Contacts
Conversations
Calendar data
Media files

Backup and reset works the same as on a Windows system backup,you save a compressed data file,you cant browse the file, only restore it
I've never used it,so i don't know if it only saves your app shortcuts or all your downloaded apps completely, so you don't need to re install them from the app store

I forgot to mention thayt my fone also only has the backup to Google servers only under backup and reset... no manual backup to usb/sd card
Maybe because my sd card has insufficient space and I dont have the usb host adapter with a usb flash drive connected

I've got 20GB spare on my SD card and it still doesn't give me the option.

Where is google servers anyway..because before you risk doing a reset you'd want to peak into the data backup file to make sure everything you want to keep is there, wouldn't you ? I certainly would just 'assume' ..

tbh, it's all a mish mash...so far i've been told to use backup and restore on my phone, then PC companion, then Xperia companion...all I want is to get rid of the swedish help files ...

What's missing I think is the ability the store/backup everything to onedrive, because you can actually see what you;ve got there...and then a facility to download it all after a reset ..?

I'm losing heart tbh ..

I also use Contacts+ for my address file ..would that be included in the backup?

I think the google backup is just for your downloaded apps, calendar appointments,contacts etc,
In sure there's 3rd party apps that can do backups,
Why don't you just click on Sverige link in help page to choose your area,then type the setting menu item in search bar?I've tried it, it works,is just a pain having to have all these extra clicks,but hire often does one use help anyways?

yes you're right - i do use help but not often enough to warrant major surgery to my phone...if there was a quick fix i'd do it, which is basically what I was hoping for. However I have loaded xperia companion and pccompanion and done a complete backup to my laptop - it'll take about 25 minutes...and it does have my contacts in there. No idea how i'd restore but I'm sure it will, if needed.

this has just fixed itself ..now back to English ...

Mine as well
Obviously help topics are not saved on our phone then,
it connects to the sony website when we access help.
So must've been a server issue that got sorted out.
