Hi, I just bought Sony xperia xz premium.
While making a call there is no sound when phone is put on speakers. I have not installed any app yet.
though the speakers work for any media I play, it does not produce any sound during the call with speakers on.
Any solution ?
Solved...I just used the sony companian to repair the sfoware and tried headphones. After that everything is fine.
Really can't say whether it was a glitch in software or any hardware problem.
Hope the solution help others...
My phone is doing that now. The speaker won't work during calls but its working fine on youtube and other apps. I tried clearing the cache and data from the phone app but no change. Any other ideas? I didn't really understand what you did for the solution. I would also like to point out this is a new phone just out of the box. and the speakers were working in calls for a bit before it cut out. Even the software and system updates didn't help.
@AdrianCordayhave you checked if the issue persists in safe mode? if it doesn't, then it's most probably caused by an app you've installed. if it does, the next step (which is what @p-square mentioned doing) would be performing a software repair using Xperia Companion.
Sorry to hear....but you know what even my phone has started doing that again.
I tried the software companaion to repair/solve this problem...but to no avail.
At last I had to go to Sony service center and gave my phone for repair....this is definelty a maufacturing defect I guess(as the bottom speaker don't really produce any sound on "service test menu" dial *#*#7378423#*#* to check yours)
Sony This is not expected from you at all... I am looking for a replacment for the handset...as i just got the faulty phone by paying loads of money.
@najodleglejszy do you thing I will get a replacement for the handset...what does company's policy say ?
@p-square I'm not a Sony employee. your best bet is to contact your Local support, as warranty and refund policies vary from region to region.
so the speaker was faulty. Company has replaced my complete handset.
