notification light not blinking

I have the sony xperia zx1 compact and I also am having an issue with the notification light not blinking. Just wonder if this is a common problem with the phone? I've tried everything that I can think of , including a complete reset and adding the apps individually. Any thoughts are welcome!

Are you getting any notifications at all? 

what if you test the phone in >>> safe mode

do you have any battery app or stamina mode on?

Notification light only works on charging. Phone is not in stamina mode. I saw a post about that and was the first thing I checked.

Just trying to get it in safe mode. I held the pwr button for the first screen to come up and taping the pwr button again just gets it to "complete this action with snap chat or the camera". I 'll keep trying and get back to you. Thanks

Once you get the pop up menu to power off > release the power button > long press "Power off" (on the screen) > you will get a new pop up

Got it and sent my self an email to see if the notification like would work in safe mode and no light.

Just to double check

Settings > Apps & notifications > Configure notifications > Blink light > on

Yes, it is set to on. Just got the phone and will do another factory reset to give that a go. Everything else seems fine except the AR effects program won't switch the camera around to selfie mode but I can live without that program. Also can live without the blinking light if it doesn't get fixed in the reboot. I appreciate the help! ( will get back to you after the reboot...but not doing it today) Take care.Thanks again.

I too am having this issues, Ive just taken the phone into Carphone Warehouse and they checked it and it was all set up correctly. The only thing they could offer me was to exchange the phone and send this one off.

Has anyone had any joy with theirs? I would hate to go through all the faff of swapping everything to another phone to find it has the same issue.

Its really quite irritating as I am missing things on social media and text messages as I cant be checking my phone every 5 mins at work, however if I see a notification light I dont mind just a quick check
