XZ2 & Android 10 - 52.1.A.0.532

Just received Andoid upgrade to 10 52.1.A.0.532 - most of the functions seems to work without any hassel. What I recognized is, that the fingerprint reader is responding with a much bigger delay than before - seems to be a high lag time. Anybodey else with same xperience or any other issues?

I have the same problem and my bluetooth works bad with my Peltor

- Huge battery drain: 1h33 screen time and the battery went from 100% to 4% (normally it lasts for 4h30)

- Camera app doesn't work anymore -> can't take pictures although the camera shows footage

- Apps are a bit slower

I can say with very high certitude that doing a "Software repair" with "XPERIA Companion" (loosing all datas warning), my XPERIA XZ2 Compact is back to work !

It was a complete drama just after the update : photo app unusable (crash, no photo), bluetooth drop each time I try to take photo, LAG, battery drain, netflix crash, fingerprint that worked 1 time out of 10, etc...

Now, after "Software repair" my XZ2 Compact is really perfect as it was with Android 9

A simple Hard reset didn't work for me.

Not enough to convince me to update my XZ2 H8296 6GB Build  52.0.A.11.32

When I have to ”repair" it afterwards shows the A10 firmware image was faulty?

I think it's better to wait until 1-2 further updates for A10 are rolled out , check forums and when everything is good to go then upgrade from A9 to A10.

Hello. I'm French and here we had the update notification a week ago.

(sorry for my english)

I did it without having read what this update brought... I thought of a security update ... but not at all ! If I had known I would not have made this mistake. I don't have as much of a problem as you do and yet I have an XZ2 Compact.

- My camera works

- General phone latencies (especially when several applications open)

- Quick discharge ...

- Overheating of the smartphone (never had that with Android 9 ...)

So, I hope that Sony will solve this problem!

It's unacceptable to release this kind of update without testing before putting it into production !

We should all make an association and sue Sony. I'm not kidding. 

We paid al lot of money when we bought Sony smartphone. Practically, this update ruined all functionality of the device. 

Either leave the option to downgrade to previous Android version (I would prefer 8, initial) either fix ASAP. 

It is not acceptable. I can't use my phone....

Maibe this is the main reason for all this... They released a version of Android 10 with the purpose of crashing all xz2 and force us to buy new phones... 

Just like Samsung and Apple a few years ago
